Welcome to Sandbridge
We know you'll enjoy Sandbridge Beach as much as we do. It's located about 25 minutes from the excitement of the boardwalk of Virginia Beach, but offers a smaller, more relaxed beach-town feel. Here, on the island, you'll find wide, undisturbed beaches similar to those in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. You can play or fish at Little Island Park, hike and go exploring at Back Bay Wildlife Refuge or False Cape State Park, take surfing lessons, or go paddle boarding or kayaking in our own backyard in the Back Bay. Here on Sandbridge you'll also find Baja Coffee Company, offering delicious coffee drinks and breakfast burritos alongside Baja, open for dinner and home to the most gorgeous sunset view available anywhere. You can treat yourself to steamed seafood at Simply Steamed or hand-dipped ice cream at Sugar Shack, pizza or seafood at Sandbridge Island Restaurant, and--hands-down--the best donuts of your life at Sandbridge Market (as long as you get there early enough to snag some!).
If you're wanting to venture just a short drive farther, we can suggest fun family activities like strawberry and blueberry picking in nearby Pungo, dolphin and whale-watching cruises or a day at the Aquarium, zip-lining fun at the Adventure Park, family dining (and mini-golf) with great allergy-friendly food and live music at Sage Kitchen, hand-crafted cocktails at Civil Libation, local beer at New Realm Brewery, delicious coffee, farm-to-table dining and an amazing array of vendors at the Old Beach Farmer's Market in the Vibe District, and many other restaurants and attractions locals and visitors alike love at the Oceanfront. Obviously, we could go on and on about how much there is to see, do, eat and drink here, and we're happy to answer your questions about this place we love.
